When we start to make
glass-mosaics ,
we need items to put the glass on ..
That's the only reason ....
We make a model from foam
with a wire brush,
finish it with plaster of Paris
and sandblast the model .
Finally we cover it with fibreglass
and have a mould.
Our mosaic studio in Ubud
give work to many house wives .
we started it in 1995 .
We make our own coloured glass
with metal oxides burned in the glass in a kiln
at 550 degrees Celsius .
